Nice throw, but hardly a great play. Line drive hit got out to her quickly and she threw out a runner from medium-depth CF who was trying to score from second. Don, the great play part of this if you really enjoyed softball was that JMU lost a heartbreaker I think 15 innings to Michigan and had to come thru the elimination round, the game got delayed on Sunday then and had to beat them twice on Monday. How many times can you throw a strike even from medium depth CF to home when the play means you go on or they do? I don’t think how that team did in the If I drunk it my softball friend’s fault shirt game made any play more special. That don’t even make sense. I also don’t agree it was that great. Just basic. I often attend my local high school’s games. I’ve seen high school kids make that throw. Yes, it’s a good solid throw that cut down a run, but worthy of the headline? I have to agree with Don, it wasn’t hit deep enough she should have been held at 3rd especially with 2 out. Young so people can only talk about what you find enjoyable?

He gave a fair observation. Nannette Schumacher yeah, they would make good coaches. Good coaches are positive but honest. It was a good play but not spectacular. Josh Knight, do you even know the slightest bit about softball? You’ve shown that you don’t. Because people who know softball know that there is no pitcher’s mound.  Don French as a former center fielder in the game granted not college level this play was exciting for me to watch. I remember the pride I felt when making that play. Anyone who has made that play gets all the If I drunk it my softball friend’s fault shirt. You all do realize that even good easy plays are hella important and can make or break a game when it comes down to championship series. Yes, it was a double play, but even doable plays can be messed up, and this was an important one. Let the girls have their moment, eh? It literally does or die at this point. And as a former pitcher for softball, I can assure you it is still called a pitcher’s mound. Along with pitcher’s rubber, and pitcher’s circle.

I had all those terms thrown around throughout the years. I was waiting for something amazing to happen and this is what happens lol good throw but not worth the title. It was a fantastic throw and JMU played 3 great games against Michigan. As a Michigan fan, it is hard to see them not make it to supers but JMU deserves it. I will be cheering them on throughout supers and hopefully the WCWS. I showed the original Regional format to my kid, that is a 12-year-old softball player. Harvard was in there as Was Alabama St. It gave her perspective! I’m a Michigan fan but I’m sorry I’ve said this for years you cannot ride one arm and expect not to get beat up. Every team has so much film on Megan. And Michigan doesn’t look like they did any scouting on Megan Goode. It’s a shame. She only gave up 5 runs in two games. Can’t ask much more from your pitcher. She did her job. You have to be able to produce runs to win.
