I knew him not as Nipsy the rapper, but as Nipsy from the neighborhood that I personally saw myself what this young man was doing in my neighborhood. I’ve been working with kids over 20 years. I moved near Crenshaw and Slauson in 2016 and I would see this young man in the store on 60th and 8th Ave purchasing whatever the Rip Nipsey Hussle Crenshaw shirt kids wanted in the store. I would watch him ride bicycles with the neighborhood kids right on my block. I saw him give money to the homeless people in front of stores and gas stations. My friend from Chicago was on a rapper named Nipsy and asked if I’ve heard of him.

He was a Human that was murdered for a Reason we all don’t know. Death doesn’t care Who you are, How much money you have, Where you live, What you drive, Where you work. Etc. It’s an appointment we ALL have and can’t Cancel. Nipsey’s Legacy will live such as Many other Legends. This is a wake-up call for Us to use this time we have to Make a Difference for somebody or something and get your life in order. The Rip Nipsey Hussle Crenshaw shirt problem is he was gunned down by a black man but at the behest of police and government who feared a peace plan would foster unity and unite gangs against the police and government.

I have never heard of him before he was shot and from listening to everything on social media I cry for this man as if he was my brother. Deleted all my gangsta rap all they talk about is killing drugs gangs etc it’s been the same narrative since the 90s they’re being paid to spread this content..for a reason yall work for the Rip Nipsey Hussle Crenshaw shirt enemy and don’t even know it. We blame it on everyone but ourselves. What part do we play in our own destruction? We aren’t trying to change and come together. We only complain and give the enemy reason to continue to destroy our young black men because we continue to do so. It won’t stop until we stop.
